In April 2009, the City of Carlsbad's Parks & Recreation Department unveiled its new Group
Activity Facility located in the Leo Carrillo Ranch Park. The City had determined the need
for a large patio to better handle reservation for group events in this popular Historic Ranch
Park. WDG was selected to design a 7,000 square foot Rustic Style Plaza / Patio allowing
the park to better accommodate outdoor gatherings, weddings and parties in this scenic park
setting.
